African Green Revolution Forum’s (AGRF) Annual Conference

As part of the annual African Green Revolution Forum’s (AGRF) conference, Claudine moderated a session with thought leaders from across Africa, discussing the theme:  ‘The Great Debate: Food, Markets, Trade and Agriculture in the Context of Covid-19

The 10th edition of the annual AGRF in Kigali Rwanda, saw Heads of State, Government Ministers, Civil Society, and Business Leaders resolve to use the flourishing urban food markets as a launchpad for growing the continent’s agricultural investments into stable businesses.

The AGRF, the world’s premier forum for advancing Africa’s agricultural agenda, drew a large and diverse crowd of more than 10,400 delegates from all over the world to analyze the state of African agriculture under the theme, Feed the Cities, Grow the Continent: Leveraging Urban Food Markets to Achieve Sustainable Food Systems in Africa.

The keynote was delivered by Dr. Ousmane Badiane, Executive Chairperson, AKADEMIYA 2063 on 2020 Africa Agriculture Trade Monitor. Other panelists include Prof. Benedict Oramah; President, Afrexim Bank, Mr. Svein Tore Holsether; Chief Executive Officer, Yara, Dr. Edward Mabaya; Senior Research Associate, Global Development, Cornell University and Hon. James Duddridge; MP, Minister for Africa UK.

Dr. Vera Songwe; the United Nations Undersecretary-General and Executive Secretary Of the Economic Commission for Africa and H. E. Mr. Wamkele Mene; Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat were also a part of this high-level panel.

Claudine Moore Joins Executives from Coca-Cola and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation at the Global Africa Forum on Communications in Rwanda.

August 2019: Claudine Moore Managing Director and Founder, C. Moore Media International Public Relations, has been invited to speak at the Global Africa Forum on Communications (GAFCOM) hosted by The Nerve Africa in partnership with the African Union. Themed ‘Speak for Africa’ and described as the Davos of African communications, the conference will be held in the Rwandan capital city of Kigali from August 21 – 23, 2019.

Featuring over 200 leaders in public relations, marketing, and corporate communications alongside policymakers and private sector leaders, the keynotes and panel discussions will focus on the significance of strategic communications and the economic development of the continent. Over 5000 entrepreneurs are expected from all 54 countries across Africa, making it the largest gathering of African entrepreneurs in history.  Claudine will be sharing global best practices in PR, branding & communications customized for African startups during this master class.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation hosts the continents largest gathering of African entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurship ecosystem at its annual Entrepreneurship Forum. The Forum brings policymakers and the private sector together, in a spirit of robust debate and interaction, which creates opportunities to generate ideas, forge networks and build intra-African business partnerships.
